County obesity rates are variable within states. Even states with the lowest prevalence of obesity have counties where many low-income children are obese and at risk for chronic disease. Help a child by donating to our scholarship program.

Mission Statement
Our motto at On Your Mark is “Preparation is Separation”. With that being said, our goal here at O.Y.M.,is to equip our athletes with the abilities to separate and stand out from the average athlete. We accomplish this through our high energy and unique training experiences. With our dedicated staff, you can expect your O.Y.M. coaches to be constantly running around cueing form, providing easier and/or harder variations for each exercise as well as modifications. Here at O.Y.M., we work with youth as young as 6 years of age to 18. We have sport specific programs for overall fitness or youth who are involved in any sport. O.Y.M. also works with sports teams. Whether it's hosting the team at one of our locations or traveling on site to their practices. We train such a wide range of youth, seldom do children come in the door 100% healthy. Therefore, we are able to modify exercises to accommodate youth that have pre-existing conditions i.e. (sports injuries, asthma, etc). The O.Y.M. training includes techniques necessary for you to see the best possible results!
There are no shortcuts;
you get out what you put in.
.

WHAT IS AN O.Y.M WORKOUT?
An O.Y.M. Workout is a chance to overcome adversity. It is a chance to learn how to take a setback and turn it into a learning experience. This is the make-up of a champion. Adversity causes some athletes to break down, and champions to break records.
An O.Y.M. Workout is a personal experience that will last a lifetime. You will always remember many things about O.Y.M. You will remember the improvement you made in your fitness, the coaches you had, and how fun training was. Most importantly, you will always remember you didn't just feel good about your training but you felt good about how your training made you better!
Resistance Training for Today’s Youth
For decades, the cliché, "resistance training is not for kids" ran through the heads of physical educators, coaches, trainers, and parents alike. The old school of thought was that resistance training would damage the growth plates and
retard or stunt children’s musculoskeletal development. Nothing could be further from the truth. In
fact, according to Wayne Wescott, Ph.D. (Specialized Strength Training, 2001) progressive
resistance training is the best way to enhance musculoskeletal development in boys and girls. A study
done by Morris et al. (1997) suggested that strength training has its greatest influence on
bone formation during the prepubescent years.
Science has proven that ages 6 to 11 are the most critical years in a
child's life for motor skill development. Here at “On Your Mark”, our
youth training programs utilizes the most up-to-date youth training
research in a fun and friendly environment to build young athlete's
physical skills. Through our youth speed training, youth agility training and
youth sports performance training, kids improve speed, coordination and confidence. Every
athlete in our Training Program must first go through our mandatory comprehensive evaluation
to assess strengths and weaknesses in areas such as speed, agility, and coordination. O.Y.M. fitness,
speed, agility and sports performance training is a must for any young athlete who
wants to develop foundational athletic skills to help get a jump start on the
competition and feel better at the same time.
